Luke Andresen is a professional drummer and composer based in Melbourne, Australia.
Since moving to Melbourne from his hometown of Mt Gambier, South Australia in 2013, Luke has become a steady contributor to the Melbourne music scene, performing regularly around Melbourne and abroad while completing his Bachelors in Jazz performance (2015) and Honours in Jazz performance (2016).
During his career, as well as leading his own projects, Luke has performed alongside many highly regarded musicians both locally and abroad, including but not limited to; Kate Ceberano, Grace Knight, Joe Lovano, John Scofield, Enrico Rava, Mirko Guerrini, Gerald Clayton, Maria Schneider, Dave Douglas, Kenny Werner, Tomasz Stanko, Tony Gould, Mark Fitzgibbon, Marc Hannaford, Paul Grabowsky and Barney Mcall.
Luke has local and international studio experience, international touring experience (USA, Barbados, Japan, China), festival experience at Generations In Jazz, Wangaratta Jazz and Blues Festival, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Tokyo International Jazz Festival, Iwate Jazz Festival, St Kilda Festival, Balaclava Boogie Festival and the Stonnington Jazz festival.
